FRP Body Kits Versus Urethane Body Kits
Automotive body kits are normally made with either fiberglass , polyurethane , or in some cases carbon fiber . Fiberglass is cheap and widely available, Eventhough it can crack upon impact. Polyurethane is popular because it is flexible and thus more resistant to damage.
FRP Composite is very light and is extremely strong according to its weight/strength ratio. The lighter your car is, will improve the track performance. Also, FRP material is easier to fix, if such is needed. In the other hand, Urethane is not fixable; if parts are damaged they cannot be fixed, but damage rarely happens. Both FRP Composite (DuraFlex) and Poly-Urethane materials are highly recommended and have great qualities for your aftermarket body kit needs.
