Though most deceleration and stopping directions provided to a car a sent through the brake pedal, there is some braking control that is handled by hand. Brake handles are extensions of the emergency brake system, otherwise known as parking brakes. By pulling on the brake handle, a driver can set a functional brake that serves to lock a car in placed when parked (this proves particularly useful for many cars parked on steep hills).
Broken brake handles are rather useless, but ugly ones aren’t doing a driver any favors either, especially when it comes time to sell the vehicle. If the brake handle of the parking brake needs replacing, simply select an aftermarket brake handle with the chrome, black, or other unique fixture features you want. Then, it’s a simple matter of removing the car’s stock parking brake handle, and inserting the new handle in its place.
