1986 Mercury Cougar Hoods/Trunks

1986 Mercury Cougar Custom Hoods, 1986 Mercury Cougar Custom Trunks

1986 Mercury Cougar Carbon Fiber Hoods are located at the front of all Mercury trucks, Mercury SUVs, and Mercury cars, and make up a large portion of your vehicle’s Mercury front-end exterior. The primary function of a Mercury hood on any vehicle is to protect the Mercury engine and other critical parts in the front compartment from being damaged by heavy rain and other phenomena. Even when bent, bruised, and damaged, 1986 Mercury Cougar hoods can still do a fairly decent job of keeping out water and other elements. It’s the poor appearance part in the end that causes many people to end up replacing a broken Mercury hood.

Aftermarket 1986 Mercury Cougar hoods help make a car look newer. Just this one replacement can make a big difference in a car’s appearance, mainly because it’s such a large component in and of itself. You can replace a 1986 Mercury Cougar hood with one that’s an exact copy of the vehicle’s stock Mercury hood, or you can select a customized Mercury hood that falls in line with a new design you had in mind for your Mercury car. Either way, you’ll end up with a Mercury car that’s better looking, with an engine that’s better protected from anything that might damage it

1986 Mercury Cougar Carbon Fiber Trunks are located at the back of most Mercury trucks, Mercury SUVs, and Mercury cars, and act as the main storage spaces for these vehicles. For Mercury truck owners, the Mercury trunk is mostly an open bed that is left uncovered. For Mercury drivers of cars and SUVs, however, the Mercury trunk is often a distinct space reserved for the transportation of luggage, groceries, and all kinds of other odds and ends.

Though you can’t replace the Mercury trunk space itself, you can replace the Mercury rear trunk hatch that keep that keeps the trunk space enclosed. Also often known as a 1986 Mercury Cougar hatch, this piece is as replaceable as the 1986 Mercury Cougar front hood is, though it is replaced far less commonly. If your car got rear-ended, or even if it’s just bruised up a bit to the point where paint alone can’t make a difference, you may want to replace that trunk hatch or 1986 Mercury Cougar hood with an aftermarket version that looks cleaner and newer to help maintain the value of your 1986 Mercury vehicle.

I got my Drifter Cobalt kit about 2 weeks ago and I am almost done with the installation (by myself). The front and side fitted alrite w/ some trimming. The rear needed more work but it is expected from a fiberglass kit.

I didn't give them 5 star cuz the shipping time took a bit long. The quality is 5 star

The fitment is great, the finish is not as good but its all good after prep work. Still a good purchase overall.
